Screen material for 3D stereo work from Elite Screens

Silver Screen material to project onto which will keep the Polarization.

Order from Elite Screens.

Elite Screens has now taken the place of Carl’s Place as the place to get screen materials which will retain polarization when projected on. The link takes you to the specific page from which you can select the material you want. Passive 3D– In addition to being compatible with Active 3D, Elite Screens’ CineGrey 3D® and  CineGrey 5D® materials are also Passive 3D compatible.  The benefits of Passive 3D polarized silver projection screens are that they increase the brightness of projected 3D images while allowing them to maximize retention of polarization levels. Lastly, its diffusion layer enhances contrast. Although passive 3D imaging can arguably be performed on other projection materials, the polarized silver materials optimize overall 3D performance with the best results. They recommend specifically for our application the CineGrey 3D® material and that it only be used with “Standard Throw” projectors. An alternative is to paint the wall you will project onto. This paint from Rust-Oleum works very well. You can find this from many sources. Two are given here:
